NEUTRON DOSIMETRY COURSE
On February 19th and 20th, 2025, the Neutron Dosimetry course was held, taught by Professor Roberto Méndez Villafañe of CIEMAT. This course was organized by researchers from the IRAMED group within the Department of Chemical and Nuclear Engineering and was funded by the CSN/UPV Chair in Nuclear Safety and Radiological Protection.
Upon completion of the course, students will be able to identify neutron detection equipment, as well as understand neutron dosimetry and the dosimetry equipment used. Students will learn about the different spectrometric methods available and their real-world applications. Furthermore, they will be able to apply international standards for neutron metrology.
ICDA4 EVENT
The 4th International Conference on Dosimetry and its Applications (ICDA-4) was held from October 16 to 20, 2023 at the Polytechnic City of Innovation of the Universitat Politècnica de València, a modern place in the heart of the university campus.
The Congress, promoted by the University Research Institute of Industrial, Radiophysical and Environmental Safety (ISIRYM) has been a great success in terms of participation and scientific quality in the area of dosimetry and its applications. The Congress Organizing Committee was made up of several of the members participating in the IRAMED project research group, with Gumersindo Verdú being the organizing president of the Congress, together with the close collaboration of Belén Jeanne Juste Vidal.
